Cycanoid is an abstract sculpture fusing two ancient life forms found here on earth. This piece is inspired by cycads and crinoids. Cycads are coniferous, palm like plants that bear cones similar to pine trees. Crinoids are marine invertebrates with a lily-like appearance. Both have existed on earth for millions of years.
