Welcome to Springfield, Missouri: Birthplace of Route 66 and Queen City of the Ozarks! There are 41 Springfields in America, but only ONE holds these titles. For the recent public art installation project, Sculpture Walk Springfield acted as the commissioning agent, overseeing the selection and implementation of the artworks. This project, featuring intricately designed lighted archways, the spires of the corona structure, and interpretive storytelling elements, was created by the artistic team Amie Jacobsen and Jake Balcom in partnership with Farris Wheel Studios of Independence, Missouri. These features now welcome locals and visitors into our community.
