Powder Coated Steel & Concrete Base

I have lived a long time and one thing I have found to be true is, at one point or another, everything gets discombobulated. My piece “Wrench in the Works” represents the old adage we have all come to know. The sculpture was built to represent all functioning things, and how, with one little mishap things can go terribly wrong.
In the chaotic disruption, a subtle beauty can emerge. This explosion of red metal gears, cogs, and springs, welded into a visual dance choreographed by the bright silver wrench is displayed above a contrasting black concrete base.
