Cedar, Acrylic, and Steel

I make work in the tradition of the American Landscape. Landscape, when applied to the growth, development, and decay of the American Frontier, is a symbol of change and alteration. Landscape works are about yearning and displacement, adaptation and coping. Landscape works are a way to remind us not only of what we left behind, but also of what we have had the opportunity to discover. This public work, Jordan Creek, Mo., considers and remembers the history and future of the stream that runs beneath the streets of downtown Springfield.
