This sculpture was inspired by two things: The Sinclair Gas Company’s dinosaur and abandoned farm and road machinery. I combined those two images and became interested in the idea that we refer to old machines as dinosaurs and the idea was born. Abstraction has always been important to me and so has a playfulness in my work. Once again, the two ideas were combined to create an overly simplified but playful sculpture that invites the viewer to come up with their own interpretations.
