Stainless Steel
Location: NE Corner of Kimbrough Ave. and Cherry St.
I have created several sculptures inspired by my fascination with the shape of the genome, including a large bronze sculpture titled Infinitude located in Matto Museum in Japan and a 30′ stainless steel piece, Hope for Life, at Stowers Institute in Kansas City. As I refined the sculpture, I saw elements of movement from modern dance, something I have also been fascinated with for decades. My objective became creating a sculpture that incorporates both the human element and the DNA concept with dance.
