Jon Whitfill has been working as an artist for over 15 years. Stilted Sphere is an expression of a “jewel in a setting” resting in an elongated base to give emphasis on its top-heavy nature. Just as gems have intricate facets, the artist has transformed thin cuts of cylindrical tube and assembled them with expert precision to create a massive sphere.
