OUR 3RD STRINGER HAS BUSTED AROUND THE CORNER AND IS HEADED TO THE GOAL IN THIS, HIS GREATEST MOMENT OF GLORY. HE CAN’T RESIST A WAVE TO CHEERLEADER, MARY LOU, AND HE IS UNAWARE THAT HE IS ABOUT TO BE LAUNCHED INTO THE SECOND ROW.
Artists, Lee Leuning and Sherri Treeby, formed Bad River Artworks 29 years ago and work as a collaborating team on bronze sculptures. They have placed over 250 bronze public sculptures across the US. Their work is highly representational and refined in Americana style (think Norman Rockwell).
While most of their works are commissioned pieces in monumental size for patrons across the US, they take time every year to produce one or two sculptures to place in public Sculpture Walks. They have won over 50 “People’s Choice” awards in the 15 years since entering the growing number of public “Walks.” They obviously work to create art that is enjoyed by the broadest spectrum of the public. Artist’s statements are not needed as one studies the work and “gets” the story or visual punchline and feeling proud of yourself a lasting memory of the art is created.
