Location: Northeast corner of Campbell Ave. and Park Central West

As an animator, Trevor wanted to make his style shows through with his sculptures. Just a Big Embrace 🙂 is a piece that uses this style as a way to spread a happy positive message to the LGBT community in Springfield. The intention of the piece was to let LGBT youth know that there is a place for them here, and that our communities and resources offer a safe place. The form of the piece shows a creature made from the LGBT flag wrapping its arms around a ton of balls, which all have different LGBT flags of their own. This protection and looking out for each other is what makes the LGBT community so important for so many people. Along with that message, Just a Big Embrace 🙂 also celebrates everything that is being LGBT. It’s a proud sculpture that a town like Springfield definitely needs! 🙂
