Joe likes to create fish. I mean, all kinds of fish. Every fish he has created to date has been well received and very popular. Of course his favorite way to create sculptures is to use repurposed materials. Like a Fish Out of Water began as a sketch on Joe’s sketch pad. He liked what he was drawing and knew immediately this was a sculpture he wanted to create: A large fish emerges from the water, seemingly attempting to escape. It consists of various found objects, including a motorcycle exhaust, an auger, and a percolator pouring coffee into a mug, along with other toys. Both young and old onlookers will enjoy spotting the treasures in the fish. The fish’s rock head points skyward, creating the appearance of a pending escape.
