For the first time in our history, Sculpture Walk Springfield’s 10th collection will be curated by Johannah Hutchison, the Executive Director of the International Sculpture Center and publisher of Sculpture magazine. In recognition of artists’ contributions, we are increasing our stipend to $2,000 per piece, to be paid in two installments: at drop-off and pick-up. Additionally, we are introducing three awards:

- Two awards valued at $500 each.
- A People’s Choice Award valued at $1,000.

Mission Statement: To encourage the artistic transformation of Springfield through outdoor sculpture, thus enhancing our quality of life and promoting economic vitality.
Eligibility: Any artist over the age of 18 is eligible to participate.
Work Eligible: Five entries per artist may be accepted for consideration. All work must be ready for display, made of solid material, and suitable for outdoor use. All work must be available for purchase by public and private entities.

*Work submitted must be available during the entire 10th Collection exhibition cycle.
Artists may submit completed models or renderings in a similar style to proof of concept. Please note clearly in your application that the work is not available.
Email all application materials to [email protected] with the email subject: LastName, FirstName 10th Collection application.
Method of Selection: Selections will be made from digital files submitted to [email protected]. Digital images should accurately represent the work submitted. All applications must be on time and completed in full for consideration. SWS intends to consider all accepted submissions final. However, the program reserves the right to withhold
from the exhibition any artwork that does not accurately reflect the submission materials reviewed by the selection committee.
Insurance, Liability, and Ownership: Sculptures chosen for Sculpture Walk Springfield will be on loan to the program for one year and displayed to the public for eleven months. They will remain in the ownership of the artist. Insurance coverage will be provided for the program through Sculpture Walk Springfield. Upon selection, you will receive a packet including a loan agreement with the City of Springfield regarding our program.
Selected Artists: Selected artists will receive a minimum $2,000 stipend, a maximum of $150 for. mileage reimbursement for individuals traveling from outside of Greene County, Missouri, one complimentary hotel night stay, recognition in the SWS brochure and social media platforms, and a bio and artist’s statement on the website. All selected artists will be eligible for the awards presented by SWS, but artists may only receive one award.
Sales: The Artist understands that artwork sales are subject to a 25% commission to offsetadministrative costs to the program. Any prior arrangement between the Artist and a commercial art gallery or other representative shall be the Artist’s sole responsibility and shall have no bearing on the Artist’s agreement with Sculpture Walk Springfield.
Agreement: Artists selected and subsequently receiving the loan agreement between the City of Springfield and SWS will have ten calendar days to respond. Once we have received the loan agreement from the participating artist, it will be understood to imply agreement on the part of the entrant, with all conditions set forth therein.
