“Basics” is an ongoing series of temporary public installations that have been realized over the past 5 years throughout the US. While each piece in this series is unique to its site, all iterations share a material and formal language through the use of 2×4 construction lumber. The form of each new work is conceived prior to installation, but may adapt and respond to the spatial conditions of the place. The work is assembled and installed on site in a tried and tested process within 2 days.
