This figure was inspired by the Sherman Monument Sculpture by Augustus Saint Gardens at 59th Street in New York City’s Grand Army Plaza. Anatomy inspires me. Every rod is cut, bent, and welded by me. I begin with the ribcage and that dictates the size of the sculpture. The wings are created last.
