This sculpture was inspired by geometric tessellations and tesseracts. In geometry, tesseracts are conceptual objects used to show the possibility of a fourth dimension or other higher dimensions. In physics the fourth dimension is usually thought of as time. I like to think about how this sculpture exists in four different dimensions—height, width, depth, and time. It exists through time in different ways. It exists in my perception of time because of the time I spent creating it and it exists in the viewers time as well.
